SOURC. BOTANICS

“I'm not into flowers, but into botanics... deconstructing the entire plant to create displays that are textural, engaging and evocative of our lifestyle and landscape”

BOTANICAL ODE TO SUMMER GONE

We are calling this the ultimate summer sayonara arrangement… Ethereal, subtle and clumped perfectly, its colours and relaxed vibe express the nuances of an early morning West Australian beachside landscape… gentle, textural and beautifully wild.

Simple can be striking and that’s certainly true of this clumped botanical installation. Highly textural and in colours that reference the beautiful West Australian coastline, it’s a raw but sophisticated aesthetic. Also designed to be viewed from all angles, the arrangement is perfect for a centre table or console. We’ve kept the look raw in an antique Anatolian urn, but this would look at home in brushed nickel, chrome, brass or even a wooden or cement pot like those seen at Kartique. Decorate next to it with shells, coral or a stack of coastal-inspired books. Perhaps be wary of candles near this one, and instead pick up a rock-and-oil diffuser from Editeur or Arrival Hall.

Botanicals
hitlist

A mix of five grasses and leaves are the heroes of this assemblage. We’ve given you the names here and below, so you can create the look. However, also take from the species’ different looks to improvise with what you can find in your local area.
